Note: Our club is looking for a secretary!

The Wheat City Carvers Club started years ago in the basements of two of the members homes. The group has expanded and now uses the Vincent Massey School drafting room. Meeting every Tuesday, the carvers, who are of all degrees of experience and skill, willing help beginners learn the skills. Beginners usually start off with a basic carving tool and pattern. The fee is only $3.00 per evening and this includes a coffee break at 8 pm. New carvers are warmly welcomed into the club. They may use the club tools until they decide to purchase their own. Instructors for various styles of carving are available.

The Wheat City Carvers Club meets every Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in the “Industrial Arts” room (drafting room) at Vincent Massey High School from the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to mid-April. Enter via the north-east blue doors.

In 2025 we began on January 7th 2024.

Turn south off Victoria Avenue, onto McDiarmid Drive.

Park in the teachers’ parking lot which is on the east side of the school, across from McDiarmid Alliance Church.
