The Wheat City Carvers would like to say farewell to former members:
It is with heavy hearts that we say Good-Bye to a longstanding, dedicated carver, Don Martin, who passed away February 1st, 2025. He drove regularly from Wawanesa to the Wheat City Club carving groups for many many years. He often caught a ride with his wife, or with Steven Sullivan in more recent years.
We all enjoyed his kind manner and his sense of humour and of course his whimsical carvings. He was always happy to lend his tools and his advice to other carvers.
Don was a true gentleman and a pleasant addition to all our gatherings.
